Cdp reorganises itself: Fsi becomes Cdp Equity

Cdp Equity will bring together large and systemically important companies, such as Ansaldo, Saipem and Metroweb, involved in the ultra-broadband plans that will be presented by Prime Minister Matteo Renzi on 7 April.

Il Italian strategic fund change set-up. The shareholders' meeting of FSI, as envisaged by the industrial plan of Cassa depositi e prestiti for the period 2016-2020, approved the new corporate and governance structure which provides for the change of name to CDP Equity, a company that will work alongside the Parent Company CDP in the task of managing equity investments in large-scale, systemically important companies, such as Ansaldo Energia, Metroweb, Saipem and SIA.
 
Metroweb which is also at the center of operations relating to ultra-broadband, so much so that there is talk with increasing insistence of a newco that also involves Enel to give way to this type of operation, at a time when work on ultra-broadband has started to take shape more and more, given that on April 7 the premier Matteo Renzi will present the ultra-broadband plan that will involve the two companies.

Furthermore, the FSI assembly appointed the new board of directors of the various branches of the company, and established the establishment of FSI SGR Spa, with the aim of supporting the growth plans of medium-large companies with significant prospects of development also through the attraction of foreign and private capital. The company, currently 100% owned by CDP, will open its capital to other shareholders.

FSI SGR: Costamagna, President; Maurizio Tamagnini, Chief Executive Officer; Rosalba Casiraghi, Director.

FSI investments: Maurizio Tamagnini, President; Guido Rivolta, Chief Executive Officer; Simonetta Iarlori, councilor.
