Cdp: loan of 5 million to the Marval group

Cassa Depositi e Prestiti has granted a loan of 5 million euros to the Marval Group, a company that deals with highly complex precision machining.

The resources will be used to support the investment plan for the next three years which envisages the purchase of latest generation plant and machinery for the mechanical processing of traction/propulsion components, such as heads and bases, mainly for heavy-duty applications (agricultural and earthmoving). Support is also provided for the “Marval Engineering” activity, an initiative aimed at supporting its customers in the design of new technologies and components for alternative traction systems, with reduced environmental impact (natural gas and hydrogen).

Marval, underlines Cdp in a note, in 2019 recorded consolidated revenues of 94 million euros, has about 600 employees located in 4 different production plants, of which 2 in Italy, 1 in England and 1 in China.

Nunzio Tartaglia, head of the Cdp Imprese division said: “This operation confirms the role of Cdp in supporting the competitiveness of Italian midcaps. It is a priority for us to accelerate and support investments in innovation, particularly in the heavy-duty sector, which has always been a driving force for our country's economy also at an international level. Furthermore, we are particularly satisfied with serving companies in the Piedmont area, where we recently inaugurated one of our local offices".
