Bags, Milan earns thanks to Monti. Stable the spread around 484 basis points

The Monti effect continues, bringing serenity to European markets and above all to Milan (+1,31%) – Eyes focused on Greece and the new government appointments – The spread is stable at 484 bps – Corre Bpm (+10,24%) and the results of the Telecom Italia conference call are awaited, with double-digit growth – Maire Tecnimont sparks and gains over 11%.

The calm after the storm. In all European stock markets are up with Milan gaining 1,31%, Frankfurt 0,95%, Paris 0,63% and London 0,48%. Spreads in Italy, Spain and France are down nearly 30 bps since yesterday's close. The spread between Italian bonds and German bunds, after reaching 478 basis points, went back up to 485 basis points. The spread between bonos and bunds it is hovering around 400 bps since this morning and the spread between French oats and German bunds has also dropped to 162 bps from yesterday's record of 168.

THEeuro is up against the dollar at 1,3655. In the spotlight are the political evolutions in Italy and Greece. Hope in a government led by Mario Monti is evidently reassuring investors. Furthermore, today there are great expectations for the appointments of the Greek transitional government by the new premier Luca Papademos.

bpm inspires confidence in the markets after statements this morning by the general manager Enzo Chiesa and the approach of the decisive week for the 800 million euro capital increase. The title, better than the Ftse Mib sector, gains 10,24%.  

It also runs Telecom Italy (+4,14%), thanks to the (very good) quarterly report just presented.

Continue to rise Pirelli (+2,82%) after the presentation of the new business plan occurred on Wednesday.

Thanks to quarterly results better than expected, the title Maire Tecnimont leaps forward and earns 11,56%.

Positive sign also for the banking sector with Unicredit  (+ 0,96%), Understanding (+ 3,31%) and Ubi (+0,42%) .  

The insurance companies recover after the negative opening this morning: Generali scores +0,08% and Fonsai + 1,33%. 

In the fashion sector Salvatore Ferragamo continues its positive trend and records a +2,17%.

The progress of is good Impregile it (+ 5,45%) and Astaldi (+ 9,21%). 

After the baptism of the new listed in the energy sector today Ternienergy loses 2,57% and the latest arrival Ternigreen, which yesterday halted its transactions several times due to excessive increases, went down by 5,70%. 

comments
