Intesa Sanpaolo e Unicredit they renew the partnerships with Sace to facilitate the access of Italian companies to financing for strategic investments through Future Guarantee, an agreement effective January 2.

This collaboration, highlights a note, has already seen financing granted for over 21,2 billion euros through various initiatives (Garanzia Italia, Guarantee SupportItalia and Guarantee Green).

Garanzia Futuro, proposed by Sace, is a quick, simple and digital option dedicated to Italian companies, in particular SMEs and strategic supply chains. The guarantee, with one 70% coverage, can be associated with medium/long term financing with amounts up to 50 million of euros and one duration maximum of 20 years.

How Sace's Futuro Guarantee works

The initiative aims to support the investments in strategic sectors growth of the country, in line with the missions of the Pnrr, and to promote development on global markets. Joint-stock companies, SMEs and non-SMEs can benefit from it, even in cooperative form, with registered or secondary headquarters in Italy.

The projects of the companies that can be financed through Garanzia Futuro are linked to operations of strategic importance for the Italian economy, including internationalisation, economic security and activation of production and employment processes in Italy. Investments in priority, social, energy, water or digital infrastructures can be financed; in economically disadvantaged areas; in technological and digital innovation; in strategic supply chains; in reducing seismic or hydrogeological risk; and in female entrepreneurship.

Unicredit

The new form of Sace guarantee dedicated to investments by Italian companies and in particular SMEs is already available for client companies. The bank and the financial-insurance group controlled by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, a note informs, have strengthened the existing partnership by signing a further agreement which allows Unicredit to immediately make the new measure available to businesses, thus strengthening support for the production system. The agreement, aimed at supporting the development of our country's businesses on global markets, technological innovation and digitalisation processes, also provides support for investments in infrastructure, strategic supply chains and economically disadvantaged areas, in addition to investment projects for the development of female entrepreneurship, with a particular focus on initiatives linked to the Pnrr.

How Sace's Futuro Guarantee works

Sace's new Garanzia Futuro is a digital guarantee instrument and will be able to cover, to the extent of 70%, the loans disbursed by Unicredit to Italian companies, including SMEs, of principal amounts ranging between a minimum of 50 thousand and a maximum of 50 million euros and having a duration of no more than 20 years. The loans may be used to finance both expenses to be incurred and costs already incurred no later than 18 months prior to the date of the loan request.
