Assoambiente for World Environment Day: new initiative for waste management

Assoambiente (Association of Environmental Services and Circular Economy Companies) is promoting today, on the occasion of World Environment Day, the fifth edition of the "Open Plants" initiative. Various plants of excellence in waste management, throughout the country, open their gates physically and virtually and guide citizens in the discovery of the various waste management technologies: from recycling to waste-to-energy, from biodigestion to landfill.

“The plants”, says the President of Assoambiente – Chicco Testa, “too often opposed in the area, are places where the circular economy takes concrete form, are essential for the protection of the environment, to avoid the dispersion of elements and materials that can cause pollution of the air, sea and land and to valorise waste. For several years, with this campaign, we have wanted to make people understand that correct and sustainable waste management is an important step in the process of greater protection of the environment and the health of citizens and of a real ecological and energy transition in our country".

From our website Assoambiente all the videos are available that illustrate the activities of some of the most innovative protagonist companies, with their plants necessary for the sustainable development of the territories and the full application of the circular economy, of the fifth edition of "Impianti Aperti":
