The Council of State has given the go-ahead for the construction of the TAP, the Adriatic gas pipeline. The appeals presented by the Puglia Region were therefore rejected. According to the judges, the environmental impact assessment made by the Via commission took into consideration all the naturalistic problems. Furthermore, the principle of real collaboration between the powers of the State would have been respected in the procedure for overcoming the dissent expressed by the Region to the construction of the work.
The decision came in the context of sentence number 1.392 of the IV Section of the Council of State with which the appeals proposed by the Municipality of Melendugno and the Puglia Region against the sentence of the Tar on the Tap-Trans Adriatic Pipeline were rejected.
