Strike November 25: Trenitalia, Trenord, Atac, Atm and Eav stop

In full pandemic a transport strike threatens to paralyze the country and create gatherings in the main Italian cities. Various protests were called on Wednesday 25 November which, with different methods and times, will involve Trenitalia, Trenord and the local public transport of Naples (Eav), Milan (Atm) and Rome (Atac).

NOVEMBER 25th STRIKE: TRENITALIA

The strike by the staff of the Ferrovie dello Stato group will take place from midnight to 21pm on Wednesday 25 November. 

Trenitalia lets you know that "there are no changes to the circulation of long-distance trains", while for regional trains essential services will be guaranteed from 6.00 to 9.00 and from 18.00 to 21.00.

During the strike, the company warns, "unpredictable variations could occur, it is important to pay the utmost attention to the announcements disseminated in stations and by the media"

STRIKE 25 NOVEMBER: TRENORD

The strike will also involve Trenord, for a protest called by USB Lavoro. The strike will begin at 11am and end at 14.59pm. "Exclusively personnel belonging to the infrastructure manager FERROVIENORD SpA" will participate, the company specifies in a note.

The agitation will therefore not involve Trenord personnel. “Any possible repercussion on our service will be communicated on the Trenord.it website and by following the updates on train circulation in real-time via our App”.

EAV STRIKE IN NAPLES 

From trains to local public transport. On 25 November, from 9 to 13, the employees of the EAV in Naples went on strike. Expected disruptions on the subways, suburban, Phlegraean and Vesuvian lines. The last rides guaranteed before the protest along the Circumvesuviana lines, reports Eav on its website, are scheduled from 8.30 to 8.45 while the resumption of traffic is expected from 15.

STRIKE 25 NOVEMBER: ATAC IN ROME

In Rome, the strike will involve both Atac personnel, as well as those of Rome Tpl and Cotral. The agitation proclaimed by the USB Lavoro Privato union will last 4 hours, from 8.30 to 12.30.

As for local public transport, the strike affects the entire Atac network, trolleybuses, trams, subways and the Rome-Lido, Rome-Viterbo and Termini-Centocelle regional railways. “In the stations of the metrorail lines that will possibly remain open, the functioning of escalators, lifts and stairlifts will not be guaranteed; possible interruptions of the ticket office service”, let the company know.

STRIKE NOVEMBER 25: ATM IN MILAN

In Milan, the strike called by various autonomous and grassroots unions concerns ATM personnel. "The agitation of the traveling and operating personnel is expected from 18 to 22," informs the company.

As for Agi, the following lines may be subject to delays and cancellations: 201, 220, 222, 230, 328, 423, 431, 433 and Smart Bus. Rides departing from the terminus will be guaranteed from the start of the service at 18pm and from 22pm to the end of the service.
