Parmalat, Yvon Guérin new CEO

The new Parmalat takes shape after the departure of the restorer Enrico Bondi and the success of the Opa Lactalis. The group's new board of directors, nominated by the shareholders' meeting on 28 June, unanimously chose the new managing director, in place of the outgoing Olivier Savary. This is Yvon Guérin, currently a member of the executive committee and strategic committee of the Lactalis group and general manager of the Lactalis Lait Crèmerie & Nutrition division, which manages the production and distribution of packaged milk. Guérin was indicated at the top of the Italian group for "his great experience in the management of the production and distribution of packaged milk and for his ability to integrate the structures of different and complementary companies", reads the note. Born in 1965, from Fougéres, he is an agricultural engineer, with a master's degree from the Essec management school in Paris. He joined the French group in 1990, dealing with management control until 1999. Then an entirely internal career between the various divisions of the group. In 2010, he oversaw the acquisition and integration of the Spanish company Puleva and contributed to the creation of the Lactalis Lait Crèmerie & Nutrition division.
