The is coming payment of May 2022 pensions. From April, with the end of the State of Emergency we are back to normal. The pensions will therefore be paid starting from the 1st useful day of May and no longer in advance as was done in the two years of the pandemic.
Last month, in fact, Poste Italiane announced that "Following the cessation of the state of emergency for Covid-31 on 19 March, Poste Italiane announces that starting from April it will be normal payment schedule restored of pensions".
Payment of pensions in May 2022: when does it start?
As regards the month of May, the payment of pensions will not start on the first of the month, which falls on a Sunday, but on the following day: Monday 2nd May.
Useful information
Retirees who hold a Libretto di Risparmio, a BancoPosta account or a Postepay Evolution will start receiving the credits from 2 May. From next day cardholders Postamat, Libretto Card or Postepay Evolution they will be able to withdraw their pension in cash from the 8000 Postamat ATMs in Italy, without having to go to the counter.
Payment of pensions May 2022: the dates for those who collect at the counter
Even those who collect their pensions in cash at their post office will be able to do so from Monday 2 May. In this case, Poste Italiane advises (it is not an obligation) to comply alphabetical rotation established by each Post Office.
The order of payments should be as follows:
- Monday 2 May surnames from A to B
- Tuesday 3 May from C to D
- Wednesday 4 May from E to K
- Thursday 5 May from L to O
- Friday 6 May from P to R
- Saturday 7 May (only in the morning) from S to Z
Pensions May 2022: credit to current account
Finally, those who receive the credit of the pension directly to their bank account will have to wait Tuesday May 3i.e. the second accounting day of the month.
