The agreement marks a significant step for the Valtellina-based bank, which has completed a double transaction with the digital payments group, closing a deal involving both its operational activities and its stake in the affiliate.
Total value over 160 million
On the economic level, the fees have been settled entirely for cashThe sale of the merchant acquiring activities is attributed a value of 105 million euro, while the vsale of minority stake in Nexi Payments it is worth 57,7 million euro.
Overall, the operation thus achieves a value of approximately 163 million euros, consolidating a significant industrial and financial transition in the relationship between Popolare di Sondrio and Nexi.
Permissions unlock the final step
The agreement was made possible by theobtaining all necessary authorizations by the competent authorities. Only after this step was it possible to proceed with the final closing of the sales.
Thus closes a dossier communicated at the end of December 2025 and now formally completed, with the transfer of assets and minority stake becoming effective.
Nexi strengthens its payments presence
