Who among us, as a child but also as an adult, has never had to deal with the legendary Lego? From today, the notorious bricks that have entertained us so much and stimulated our creativity so much, have an extra utility: help us understand the economy. The curious project is led by teacher Luciano Canova, an accredited LEGO®SERIOUS PLAY® trainer, in collaboration with Feduf (Foundation for Financial Education and Savings) and with the Intesa Sanpaolo Savings Museum. The educational workshop will try to explain to children aged 6 to 12 (but also to their parents, if they are interested) complex phenomena such as inflation, GDP, unemployment, and even the costs of climate change, in a familiar way for them: by playing.
Thanks to the involvement of parents, the innovative financial education format will therefore also be replicable at home, where every child will be able to continue playing with the well-known little men, constructions, pickup trucks and so on, taking the opportunity to familiarize themselves with subjects that often adults themselves find it difficult to dominate. The first course, due to Covid, is held online and has as its theme prices and inflation. THE subsequent laboratories, pandemic permitting, they have instead been postponed to autumn and will take place in presence, at the Museo del Risparmio in Turin: the topics will range from the responsible use of money to behavioral economics and sustainable development.
