In November, the index of hourly contractual wages recorded an increase of 0,1% compared to the previous month and of 1,6% compared to November 2011. On average for the period January-November 2012, the index grew, in comparison with the same period of the previous year, by 1,4%. Istat communicated it.
As for the main macro-sectors, in November contractual hourly wages recorded a tendential increase of 2,2% for employees in the private sector and a zero change for those in the public administration.
The sectors that show the greatest trend increases in November are the following: food, beverages and tobacco (3,6%); wood, paper and printing, water and waste disposal services (3,0% for both aggregates). On the other hand, no changes were recorded for telecommunications and for all sectors of the public administration.
