The undersecretary to the Prime Minister, Giancarlo Giorgetti returns to talk about the Highways case and the revocation of concessions initiated by the Conte government following the collapse of the Morandi bridge in Genoa.
“You have to go straight ahead. There is a procedure that has already started, everyone is granted the right of defence, they will have a few days to respond and then a decision will be made”. These are the words spoken by Giorgetti during the interview given by Peter Gomez as part of the party de Daily fact in Marina di Pietrasanta (Lucca).
"The singular thing - continues the undersecretary - is that there is no procedure in the concession that formalizes the revocation". According to him, the problem is that what happened "is so striking that, in my opinion, I don't understand how the Autostrade company cannot also be held responsible, as well as who was to keep watch.”

After answering some questions relating to the future of the League after the investigation into the funds which, according to Giorgetti could lead to the closure of the party, the Carroccio exponent focused on the now famous ceiling of 3% in the deficit/GDP ratio, sending a clear signal to the number one of the Economy, Giovanni Tria: “Break through the 3% ceiling? If you need to to make this country safe too, but I think it's in the interest of all of Europe”.

The lack of investments “makes it essential and urgent that work is done not only on bridges, here are the schools at risk, here are the public buildings at risk. A series of situations for which we must enter into serious negotiations with Europe on this issue”.
