France, Glucksmann: No more ambiguity over Mélenchon, but the Democrats' opponent remains the far-right Le Pen and Bardella.

Finally, clear words come from the French reformist left in an interview with Raphael Glucksmann in the Corriere della Sera: no more ambiguity with the far left, but a cordon sanitaire against the far right.

France, Glucksmann: No more ambiguity over Mélenchon, but the Democrats' opponent remains the far-right Le Pen and Bardella.

“We need to put a clear barrier between us and Jean-Luc Mélenchon, the France Insoumise, the Jeune Garde and all the groups that are dangerous to democracy” in France: finally, clear words are coming from the French reformist left against the ambiguity in relations with the far left. These are: Raphael Glucksman, son of the philosopher André and a possible candidate in next year's presidential elections after Macron. Mélenchon is in the turmoil over the assassination of a right-wing activist, Quentin Deranque, killed by the anti-fascist group The Young Guard, close to France Insoumise. But this is not the only reason why Glucksmann is raising the barrier on the left against Mélenchon's extremist strategy. The reformist left MEP does not mince his words and clearly maintains, in an interview published today in the Corriere della Sera, what has long been clear to everyone: that "France Insoumise is proving to be an extraordinary springboard for National Rassemblement of Bardella and Marine Le Pen” against which the “must instead remainsanitary cord" of all French democrats. Therefore, no to the far left, but also no to the far right, knowing that this is precisely the most dangerous for the race for the Elysée and whose victory would signal the destabilization of France and the end of Europe. Glucksmann also says, however, that to beat Bardella and Le Pen, it's up to the left and the democratic center to put forward a credible political offer. Courage, Raphael.
