Charles Messina, Managing Director and CEO of Intesa Sanpaolo, – after being recognized as European Banker 2024 by the association of international economic and financial journalists “The Group20+1” – was voted best Chief Executive Officer between European banks in the 2025 ranking drawn up by the specialized research company Excel(formerly Institutional Investor Research). The CEO of Intesa Sanpaolo has led the ranking – which takes into account the votes of both institutional investors and financial analysts – for the eighth year since its introduction, ten years ago. In the other two years, Carlo Messina ranked second.
