Campari flies to the stock market after the accounts

The stock flies on the stock exchange Campari, which at the end of the morning gained 5,4%, to 11,995 euros, posting the best increase on the Ftse Mib by gap. In the same minutes, the main index of Piazza Affari dropped 0,45%.

The purchases of Campari shares were triggered by the publication of the semi-annual accounts, closed with sales of one billion euros, "for an organic change of +37,1% compared to the first half of 2020 (+30,2% total change) and +22,3% compared to the first half of 2019".

Ebit amounted to 223,2 million, an organic change of +88,7%, and net profit amounted to 156,8 million, up by +101,9% excluding total positive adjustments of 2,8 millions. Net financial debt amounted to 1,064 billion, down by 39 million compared to the end of 2020.

“In the first half of 2021 we recorded double-digit growth in all key markets and brand clusters, as well as all performance indicators – commented Bob Kunze-Concewitz, chief executive officer of Campari – These positive trends accelerated in the seasonal peak of the second quarter, thanks to sustained consumption at home and the gradual reopening of bars, effects amplified by a favorable comparison base. While uncertainty remains in relation to the spread of the Covid variants and the possible reintroduction of new restrictive measures, we remain confident in the continued strong momentum of the brands, fueled by sustained marketing investments, accelerating in the apéritif season peak”.

Kunze-Concewitz then added that “since the po, the company's market value has increased 15 times to reach 13 billion today. With an annualized total return to shareholders of 16%, we outperformed our main competitors in the spirits sector and the market index”.
