The Tokyo Stock Exchange closed sharply higher, with the Nikkei index gaining 2,75%, mainly due to a depreciation of the yen against the dollar and the euro. The Nikkei finished the day up 347,57 points at 13.867,00, while the Topix index rose 1,99% to 1.157,15 points.
