Transport bonus 2023: who can apply?
The bonus is recognized to people who, in the year 2022, achieved a total income not exceeding 20 thousand euros. The bonus can be requested for oneself but also for minor dependent children. While adult children, even if dependent, must independently provide for the request. The bonus must be used by purchasing a season ticket within the calendar month of issue. The season ticket can also begin its validity in a subsequent period.
Transport bonus 2023: how to apply and how many times it can be done
To request it, you need to apply on the web platform of the Ministry of Labour, logging in with Spid or Electronic Identity Card (Cie) and indicating the tax code of the beneficiary. The bonus, which cannot exceed 60 euros, is personal and can be used for the purchase of only one annual subscription o monthly during the current month for local, regional and interregional public transport services or national railway transport. Some first class services, such as executive, business, club executive, lounge, premium, working area and business lounge are excluded from the discount. The bonus is not transferable and does not affect the calculation of the ISEE.
The bonus can be requested once a month, by 31 December 2023 and until resources are exhausted.
What should be indicated in the request
The applicant must make the self-certification of his income by ticking the appropriate box. Furthermore, he must specify the operator of the transport service from which he will purchase the annual or monthly pass.
At the end of the bonus request procedure you get a code or Qr code to be presented at the ticket office, or online, if the procedure is foreseen by the manager, at the time of purchase.
