"Energy and climate adaptation: new challenges for businesses", organized by Intesa Sanpaolo and in the program Wednesday May 13 at the Cariplo Foundation Congress Center in Milan.
Intesa Sanpaolo: support for businesses
The initiative aims to promote the comparison between finance, institutions and the productive world on the prospects of the European energy market and on the strategies needed to address the consequences of climate change, in an international scenario marked by growing geopolitical and economic complexity. At the heart of the debate is the need to accelerate the investments in electrical infrastructure and in renewable sources, reducing dependence on fossil fuels, and at the same time strengthening the capacity to adapt to extreme climate events.
Intesa Sanpaolo: Who will be at the event?
The president of Intesa Sanpaolo will open the proceedings, Gian Maria Gros-Pietro. The interventions of are also foreseen Enrico Letta, president of Institut Jacques Delors, Enrico Giovannini, scientific director of ASVIS, and Francesco Beccali, chief financial officer Terna, while the conclusions will be entrusted to Paola Angeletti, chief sustainability officer of Intesa Sanpaolo.
The program provides two round tables dedicated respectively to climate adaptation and the energy transition, involving representatives of institutions, businesses, and the banking group. The objective will be to explore the issues of infrastructure resilience, climate risk prevention, electrification, and the development of energy networks and renewables, which are increasingly considered crucial to the competitiveness of the European production system.
