Generali has launched Generali Core Tech, the new software factory of the group that aims to accelerate technological transformation in line with the strategic plan “Lifetime Partner 27: Driving Excellence”, through the creation of scalable, shared and innovative platforms to support business growth and the ability to create greater value for customers and partners.
Generali Cor Tech: the platform for life and property and casualty businesses
Generali Core Tech will focus on the management and further development of “Insurance in a Box” (IIAB), the centralized and shared platform for Life and Casualty business, with the aim of expanding the implementation of the program, already active in Spain and Switzerland and currently being extended to Portugal, Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia. "Since its launch, IIAB has played a key role in strengthening the Group's technological agility and generating economies of scale and scope across the entire insurance value chain. The initial scope of the project will cover approximately 15 million policies at group level”, underlines the company led by Philippe Donnet in a note.
The new software factory will be composed of a team of about 150 experts, will adopt advanced development methodologies, supported by Gen-AI based tools, and will work closely with the local teams of the various business units. Generali Core Tech will leverage the platform of RGI, a leading insurance software provider in Italy and Europe.
