UBI Banca and Confindustria Pavia, agreement on corporate welfare

An important alliance to promote a territorial welfare ecosystem joins an agreement to finance innovation, within a national ceiling of 500 million euros.

UBI Banca and Confindustria Pavia signed two important documents today at the Pavia headquarters of the association of industrialists: the Industry 4.0 agreement and the memorandum of understanding on corporate welfare.

The first provides, within a more general ceiling, access to funding for research, development and innovation reserved for member companies, as part of Industry 4.0 processes. This agreement derives from the "Pact for the Pavia area", signed in 2014 between Confindustria Pavia and UBI Banca, and will support local companies in the implementation of development, innovation and internationalization programs and in addressing the need to balance the capital and of companies, guaranteeing them greater liquidity and dedicated financing.

The second, the Memorandum of Understanding on Corporate Welfare, will allow the 420 member companies and their over 21 collaborators to benefit from a new subsidiary and proximity welfare programme. The agreement promotes the provision of goods and services that respond to people's real needs (such as, for example, health, social security, assistance, education, well-being), enhancing the best local experiences, linking companies and non-profit entities that meet high quality standards, who will have the opportunity to participate in the network as suppliers.

Confindustria Pavia is the first business association to sign an agreement on corporate welfare with UBI Banca. UBI Banca, in turn, is the first Italian banking institution to enter the corporate welfare sector, providing companies with an integrated, complete and "turnkey" offer to accompany them in the activation of initiatives dedicated to employee wellbeing . An offer which is characterized not only by its simplicity of activation, but also by the breadth of solutions and the sharing of knowledge: indeed, UBI Banca intends to make the many years of experience developed in the welfare programs dedicated to own employees.

The partnership that was born today between UBI Banca and Confindustria Pavia makes it possible to offer local companies of all sizes a full outsourcing solution and support in all phases of the project: from consultancy on the implementation of enabling factors, to assessment and advisory services for companies and employees, up to the provision and management of the Welfare goods and services platform and wider-ranging initiatives, such as the activation of smart working programs and training programs for employees and their families on financial education and current issues.

The UBI Welfare service for Confindustria Pavia can be customized on the basis of the needs of the company and its employees. It allows you to have access to a new health care fund, open pension funds, offers for leisure and culture, reimbursements for expenses incurred in raising children and caring for your family, purchasing goods and services on favorable terms. Thanks to the concessions provided for by the 2016 Stability Law and the 2017 Budget Law, the activation of a welfare plan can bring important tax advantages for both the company and the workers.

“Today I am pleased to sign a new partnership with Confindustria Pavia with which we share the vision of welfare as an engine of innovation and development for businesses and the local area,” said Rossella Leidi, Chief Wealth and Welfare Officer of UBI Banca . "The business system of this area, which has been experiencing significant growth in recent months, with this agreement acquires additional tools for the benefit of companies, workers and the social fabric".

“In the area of loans to local businesses”, said Riccardo Tramezzani, Head of the Milan, Pavia and Emilia Romagna Macro Area, “UBI Banca identifies specific loans for innovation as qualifying and important. Also this time we find in Confindustria Pavia an attentive interlocutor and we are convinced that we will meet an industrial fabric receptive and ready for innovation, which we consider an important driving force for development, both economic and social”.

“Two important agreements that I like to frame in Corporate Social Responsibility”, commented, in turn, Alberto Cazzani, President of Confindustria Pavia. “Focusing on human resources and innovation, as well as being a success factor, is considered by Confindustria Pavia as a strategic development asset. I remind you that the total de-contribution of corporate welfare initiatives arises from the strong impulse of Confindustria on the Government and on the social partners and is therefore itself to be included in an Industry 4.0 project".
