TIM and Microsoft announce a collaboration to support the digital transition which brings together technologies such as cloud, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. The two companies will collaborate to design cloud and digital solutions tailored to the needs of Italian businesses, with the goal of accelerating their large-scale adoption. By combining expertise, resources, connectivity, and technological capabilities, TIM and Microsoft intend to enable new services for businesses, public administrations, and citizens.
The collaboration enhances the TIM's role as an enabler of cloud and digital solutions for companies and public administration, in line with its digital sovereignty strategy: a model that aims to ensure control, resilience, and data protection across the entire value chain, through locally managed platforms and services. Microsoft offers its experience supporting companies in adopting cloud platforms, generative and agent-based AI, as well as security solutions.
A first area of application concerns TIM's internal transformation through the evolution of the digital workplace. At the heart of the initiative is large-scale implementation of Microsoft 365 Copilot, together with the low-code Power Platform, as a lever to make artificial intelligence a
Cross-functional capabilities to support processes and people. The expanded collaboration encompasses a series of initiatives aimed at increasing productivity and innovation capacity across the organization. At the same time, joint initiatives will be explored to bring integrated solutions and services to businesses and public administrations in Italy.
The focus will be on processes that can benefit most from generative AI, such as customer operations, document management, operational support, and automation, contributing to the modernization of services and the diffusion of digital skills.
