Andrea Fabiano, Ilaria Dallata and Daria Bignardi. These are the names of the next directors of RaiUno, RaiDue and RaiTre. The first two, less known, are respectively the current deputy director of the first network (Bari, born in 1976, who joined Rai in 1999 with a position in the Marketing Department and shortly the youngest director in the history of RaiUno) and the founder of the company of production Magnolia (graduated in Literature, born in Parma in 1976).
Furthermore, the veteran Angelo Teodoli (in Rai since 1983) will pass from the direction of RaiDue to that of Rai4, while Gabriele Romagnoli (from Bologna, former correspondent in the United States for La Stampa and former director of GQ) will arrive at the helm of RaiSport and Rai Pubblicità and Antonio Marano (elected deputy in 1994 with the Northern League, former member of the Rai Supervisory Commission, undersecretary for Telecommunications, director of RaiDue and deputy director general of Rai). Giancarlo Leone will probably be the editorial coordinator of the offer.
The names were announced today by the managing director, Antonio Campo Dall'Orto, in the meeting with the 9 directors. The formal appointment will come at tomorrow's board meeting. But there is no uncertainty about the outcome of the appointments, because - based on the reform in force since January - for the first time in history, the CEO of Rai will not need the majority of votes in the board.
The choices of the new managements - according to Dall'Orto - are "based on competence, experience and merit, autonomy from the parties, guided by the desire for renewal precisely through competence and in the sign of the valorisation of internal resources". There was no lack of pressure from lobbies and neither from politics, but Campo Dall'Orto swears he chose independently.
