Poste Italiane queen of digital payments in 2025. They have been 3,4 billion total transactions with Postepay cards in the year, a 12,2% increase over 2024, and 795 million in the e-commerce segment alone, for an 11,6% increase. Another significant figure for Poste Italiane is the total value of transactions, which barely surpassed 100 billion euros, reaching 94,7 billion dollars in the calendar year, an increase of almost 9% over 2024. Regarding e-commerce again, the total value of transactions in 2025 was 31,4 billion euros, 11,7% more than the previous year.
The Group led by Matteo Del Fante thus confirms its leadership in the sector with 30 million cards issued, of which over ten million are Postepay Evolution. These are rechargeable prepaid cards associated with an IBAN, issued by Poste Italiane and which they function like fully-fledged bank accounts, allowing you to manage bank transfers, deposit salaries, pay bills directly, and make contactless or smartphone payments (Google/Apple Pay). They also offer the main features of a current account with a credit limit of up to €30.000, proving to be a popular, flexible and digital financial solution.
