Italian Design Brands (IDB), the Italian pole of Italian furniture and design of high quality, announces the establishment of a branch in London, Italian Design Brands UK Ltd (IDB UK), dedicated to the UK market. The branch is located in the exclusive South Kensington area of ​​South West London which is home to prestigious cultural institutes such as the Victoria and Albert Museum.

IDB UK will have the task of supporting and promoting the development and commercial presence of the Group companies in the United Kingdom market, the fourth destination area worldwide of Italian exports of the Furniture Macrosystem and Lighting, with a value of over 600 million euros. Furthermore, for IDB it is the third European market in terms of exports, with an incidence of around 5% on the Group's turnover.

Thanks to IDB UK, the companies of the Group, as well as the future brands that will join IDB, will be able to develop and consolidate their presence in the United Kingdom, leveraging on a structured platform that will allow them to control the market from within to fully seize its opportunities.

The establishment of the new London branch is part of the development strategy that the Group pursues, based on enhancing the entrepreneurial potential of the companies that become part of it. Thanks to the contribution of structures and skills to stimulate its growth, IDB offers its companies the competitive advantage of being part of a large Italian group with a broader strategic, long-term and international vision, while allowing it to maintain its identity and independence.

Sole director of IDB UK is Giorgio Gobbi, Managing Director of IDB and former Chairman of the IDB Suzhou Co. Ltd. branch, supported by Manuel Vizcaino-Sanchez, Sales Country Manager with a rich commercial experience in the world of design.

Italian Design Brands SpA (IDB) was founded in 2015 to promote a high quality Italian design pole on the initiative of Private Equity Partners – by Fabio Sattin and Giovanni Campolo -, Paolo Colonna, Giovanni and Michele Gervasoni, supported by a selected group of investors high-end individuals. In September 2015, Giorgio Gobbi, a manager with solid experience in multinational companies and in the furniture and design sector, joined the project and is now Managing Director of IDB. In May 2020, Andrea Sasso, a manager with great experience developed largely as a top manager and CEO of listed companies, President and CEO of IDB, joined the Group. The company has rapidly embarked on a growth path that has seen important companies in the design sector join the project. To date, the Group has seven companies, each with its own precise identity: Gervasoni (2015), which creates furnishing solutions through the homonymous brand and the Very Wood brand, Meridiani (2016), a company specialized in the creation of refined contemporary furnishings and versatile, Cenacchi International (2017), operating in the contract world for the luxury sector, Davide Groppi (2018) who invents and produces lamps and lighting projects, Saba Italia (2018), high-end design furniture company, Modar ( 2019) company specialized in custom contract projects and Flexalighting (2020), which designs and manufactures LED lighting systems for interiors and exteriors.
IDB, in constant growth, in 2019 recorded aggregate revenues of 150 million euros with an export share of over 70%. Today it has over 400 people.
