LVMH, new CEOs for Bulgari and Fendi: Michael Burke and Pietro Beccari appointed

Grand ball of armchairs at LVMH, owner of the Bulgari and Fendi brands. Bulgari now knows the name of its new CEO: he is Michael Burke appointed starting from February 2012, just long enough to leave Fendi, another maison of the group. His predecessor, Francesco Trapani, had become Director of LVMH and President of the 'Watches and Jewels' branch of the group once the purchase was made official. Alessandro Bogliolo, Chief Operating Officer of Bulgari, has been tasked with overseeing the corresponding transition. Bogliolo will then occupy a new position within the group once this phase is over.

Starting in 1986, Michael Burke headed the American branches of Christian Dior, and later Louis Vuitton. From 1997 to 2003, he headed Christian Dior Couture, before being named President and CEO of Fendi in 2003. According to the group's statement, "he led the very successful recovery of this company, with his experience in leather goods, fur and fashion, then its development, implementing an integrated distribution model”.

The internal waltz of the armchairs continues with Pietro Beccari. The Italian manager returns to the Belpaese replacing Michael Burke at the general management of Fendi, again starting from February. Previously he was Deputy General Manager and Head of Marketing and Communications at Louis Vuitton. Before that, he had worked for Benckiser in Italy, for Parmalat in the USA and for Henkel in Germany.

But new rounds of armchairs are already announced, as LVMH is still keeping the announcement of its successor in Louis Vuitton in store. So the sequel to the next episode.
