German industrial production far above expectations in June, with the index rising by 2,4% compared to May and +2% on an annual basis. The consensus said +0,4% on a monthly basis. Production was supported by progress in all areas. Manufacturing marks +2,2%, construction +1,6% compared to the previous month. The rebound in June (monthly data is seasonally adjusted) follows a decline of 0,8% recorded in May (data revised).
