“The investment in Moons represents a further step for the Group in the growth path that we have been pursuing since our inception – underlines Ferdinand Garrè, CEO and President of Genova Industrie Navali. Our philosophy is to bring together diverse skills to compete more effectively, while maintaining the autonomy and high level of specialization of each individual company. In this sense, collaborating with an innovative company focused on digital and artificial intelligence like Moons represents a growth opportunity for both companies.

Moons is a company specializing in innovation that supports companies in their digital transformation journeys, adopting a model that differs from traditional consulting. It was created to fully support clients in the most complex initiatives, extending its intervention throughout the entire process and introducing flexible forms of collaboration that allow for shared responsibility for results, even beyond traditional consulting frameworks.

Moons also develops digital products—including AI-based platforms, proprietary software, and data-driven solutions—and fosters collaborative business creation with clients, creating collaborative startups.

Founder of Moons is Andrea Teja, 38, an expert in digital transformation and innovation. He served ten years in the Italian Navy, where he rose to the position of Head of the Combat Systems Department. He subsequently worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, then as Chief Digital and Innovation Officer at Synlab, and later as a partner—the youngest in the firm's history—at Gea, a historic Milanese strategic consulting firm, where he launched the digital department.

"We work with companies on the most complex transformation journeys, where digital is merely an enabler, not the ultimate goal. We share the risk with our clients, putting our own interests at stake as well, offering, where possible, performance-related compensation," explains Teja. "In some cases, we develop a corporate venture building program to jointly develop new business initiatives, and we build a start-up with the client, overseeing its strategy. The project generates a digital solution that is adopted by the client, who is also a shareholder, and subsequently marketed."
