The exhibition program of the Todi Arts Festival yes opens on Friday 26 August, with the inauguration, in Piazza del Popolo in Todi, of the monumental work “Todi Today” by Fabrizio Plessi. In addition, other excellent artists, permanent installations and an open-air museum of contemporary art will also be present at the Festival.
It is a double-sided electronic monolith that will light up every evening, a sculpture 12 meters high in which digital water flows – one of the elements that distinguish Fabrizio Plessi's works – which rises from below to reach the top of the column and then falls back, resuming its cycle of rise and fall without stopping. The work is linked to the verticality of the towers of Todi, alle Columns by Beverly Pepper et al steli by Arnaldo Pomodoro, installed in past years on the occasion of the Festival delle Arti.

"Secret Water, TodiToday e World projects – recalls the curator Marco Tonelli – is a single large exhibition by Fabrizio Plessi divided into three different places in the same city, in a futuristic and visionary dialogue between history and the contemporary, electronic flows and stones, world scenarios and cultural identities”.

“On 26 August – underlines the mayor of Todi Antonino Ruggiano – four sculptures created specifically for the underground space will be inaugurated at the Roman Cisterns, the object of an important expansion and redevelopment intervention, which will remain permanently, becoming part of the cultural heritage of the city”.
During the Festival, a series of guided tours and free workshops for families are scheduled
For this occasion, there will beUrban Art Tour (Saturday 27 August and Saturday 3 September), in which expert guides will accompany the participants on an urban journey to discover contemporary art, starting from Parco di Beverly Pepper to reach the center of Todi to admire the installations by Fabrizio Plessi. Or like the Kids Art Day (Sunday August 28th and Sunday September 4th) to be held in Beverly Pepper Park.
