Brembo, Enel, Intesa Sanpaolo and Pirelli. These are the four Italian companies included in the "List A" for climate change published by Cdp, an acronym which however does not stand for Cassa Depositi e Prestiti but for the Carbon Disclosure Project, the non-profit organization that collects, disseminates and promotes information on the environment, providing a platform to evaluate the performance of companies in the fight against climate change.
The A rating is the highest score that can be attributed to a company and takes into consideration the effectiveness of the efforts put in place to reduce emissions and climate risks and to develop a low-carbon economy, the completeness and the transparency of the information provided and the adoption of best practices associated with the environmental impact.
“The inclusion in Cdp's List A represents recognition of our active commitment to combat climate change by promoting the decarbonisation of energy production systems, while contributing to the reduction of emissions in other sectors thanks to the electrification of energy demand” , declares Francesco Starace, CEO and general manager of Enel. “The strategic choice we made in 2015 to move to a sustainable and integrated business model has allowed Enel to position itself as a leader in the transition to an economy without emissions, to be better prepared for the challenges of climate change.”

As regards Intesa, with reference to the insurance group, Intesa Sanpaolo Vita, the company also announces that it has signed up to the United Nations Principles for Sustainable Insurance (PSI).
