The US Stock Exchange has welcomed the announcements in a mixed way Thorsten Heins, president and CEO of the company”Research In Motion” which produces the smartphones and the operating system Blackberry. After retiring the name "Kidney“, in favor of that of its flagship product, the Canadian firm presented, yesterday at New York, what will have to be the main levers for the relaunch of its smartphones on the market.
The title however already has lost more than 6%, despite an upbeat start to the day. The result is clearly conditioned by the fact that the actual distribution of the products, excluding Canada and Great Britain, will take place between the end of February and the beginning of March. The great success was instead at the public level. The presentation was followed all over the world thanks to live streaming via the web and today, Twitter and Facebook are the talks of nothing else.
Over the past year, Rim has organized more than 44 events in 37 countries to introduce the new platform to over 10 developers. This strategy had a very specific purpose: to make the new one available, starting from the day of the launch Blackberry World, the completely renovated store with videos and music, more than 70 applications including the top XNUMX in the chart of the most used or most downloaded ones (there's even Ruzzle).
The two new Blackberries are the Q10 and Z10. The novelty is that "there is no news“, in the sense that by now Rim had accustomed everyone to out-of-the-box solutions, while the Q10 seems to refer a lot to the Apple or Samsung line and the Z10 is nothing more than a restyling of the most classic and perhaps most successful of the Blackberries: the “ Bold”. The strong point can only be the operating system (Blackberry 10) and its functions, yes, innovative ones. For example, there is “BALANCE” which allows the user to keep their data separate from those of the company; “Flow“, which handles multitasking all in the foreground; “Hub“, which collects email, social network content, information and data in a single stream; “Remember“, a dynamic data and content aggregator that transforms the concept of agenda and “BBM Videos with Screen Chat“, the new version of BlackBerry instant messaging, already used by over 60 million users worldwide, which now allows remote sharing of one's “mobile desktop”.
The Q10, which differs mainly from the Z10 in the presence of the typical "qwerty" physical keyboard, will arrive on store shelves slightly after the "Z" model. The latter will be offered with 16GB of internal memory for data, 4G (LTE) connectivity, 8 Megapixel (1080p) video camera, 4.2-inch touch screen with 1280×768 resolution and 356 dots per inch, battery life up to 10 hours of conversation in 3G and 13 days in standby, possibility of saving one's data and applications on SD card.
