The first Board of Directors of SACE met today after the appointments by the Shareholders' Meeting of 2 July, which proceeded to appoint Alessandro Castellano as Chief Executive Officer for the three-year period 2013-2015, confirming the company's operational powers.
Since May 2007 Alessandro Castellano has been Chief Executive Officer of SACE. Entered in 2004 as General Manager with responsibility for the development of the company's business, he contributed to its transformation from a public body into a joint stock companyoutlining the new business model. Previously with Deutsche Morgan Grenfell & Co. Ltd in London, he held the position of head of Southern Europe in the Investment Banking Division, with specific expertise on Debt Capital Markets and Structured Finance; later he was Central Director and Member of the Management Committee of Mediocredito Centrale of the Capitalia Group.
