Black January for Italian trade on EU and non-EU markets. To reveal it are the January Istat data: a decrease in exports of 2,5% and a cyclical decrease in imports of 0,5%. The sector that was most affected by the lower demand from foreign markets was that relating to capital goods (-5%).
Slightly improves the Istat scenario on a quarterly basis: in the last quarter le exports are recording a growth of1,6%, driven by energy products (+3,5%), while the shopping they undergo a decrease of 2,8%.
La trend growth in January for exports continues to follow a positive trend (+ 4,3 %), linked mainly to non-EU markets (+4,8%). They go down imports (-2,6%), mainly due to the decrease in purchases by EU countries (-5,4%).
