The rector of the Bocconi University, Andrea Sironi, will be the new president of the Italian stock exchange. Today the company meeting in Piazza Affari elected him to the board of directors and from the beginning of 2016 Sironi will become president.
The rector of Bocconi will replace Massimo Tononi, who has resigned from the top management of the Stock Exchange since he was appointed president of Monte dei Paschi di Siena in August, replacing the outgoing Alessandro Profumo.
