Red zone until Easter for 9 Regions, orange Sardinia

10 Regions remain in the red zone, but Lazio has hope of returning to orange at the end of the month. Molise remains orange, Tuscany and Calabria risk lockdown next Friday.

Red zone until Easter for 9 Regions, orange Sardinia

Still lockdown numbers in almost all of Italy. Even Sardinia, which had enjoyed a few weeks in the white zone, returned directly to the orange zone (the yellow zones are suspended until after Easter). There are therefore ten Regions that remain red and nine that will in fact be until Easter, because it is impossible for them to be able to "climb" to orange in less than two weeks (not only is it mandatory to remain in the highest risk range for at least two weeks but, in order to be reclassified, it is mandatory to «permanence for fourteen days in a level of lower risk or scenario than that which led to the restrictive measures"), also considering that the days around the spring holiday will in any case, by decree, be in a red zone throughout the country, regardless of the weekly monitoring of the ISS. The only novelty of this Friday, in addition to Sardinia which turns orange again, is Molise which goes from red to orange.

For the rest, the orange-red map of a week ago is confirmed: they therefore remain under lockdown Lombardy, Piedmont, Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Autonomous Province of Trento, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, Marche, Puglia and Campania (the latter also has the highest Rt contagion index in Italy at 1.65, followed by Friuli Venezia Giulia at 1,42). Even the Lazio it remains red but has the hope of going orange as early as Monday 29 March, since this week it already records a declining Rt and has a below-the-threshold incidence of new infections. Instead, they risk being added to the Regions in red, in the short term, also there Calabria, with Rt at 1,22 (the threshold is 1,25) and la Tuscany, with 246 new positives for every 100 inhabitants (the threshold is 250).

Meanwhile, throughout the country, the worrying figure is becoming that of ordinary hospitalizations for Covid, which rocket beyond the risk threshold, set at 40% occupancy of the beds. According to the latest Agenas survey, updated on Friday evening, with yesterday's +1% the employment rate in Italy rose to 41%. For a week now, even intensive care has been beyond the threshold (set in this case at 30%), reaching 37% yesterday. There are 9 Regions in which ordinary hospitalizations are over 40% of the total: Marche (64%), Piedmont (56%), Emilia Romagna (55%), Lombardy (51%), Umbria (47%), Abruzzo ( 45%), Friuli Venezia Giulia and Puglia (43%) and Molise (41%).
