One hundred and thirty red, white, rosé and sparkling winesthose considered true icons of the best of Made in Italy wine have been selected in the special ranking of "OperaWine 2023", by Winespectator the prestigious American magazine of the sector for the supertasting that opens the events of Vinitaly 2023.

On all Italian regions dominates Tuscany with 35 companies selections that have their strong point in Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti Classico, Bolgheri and Supertuscans. In second position is Piedmont with 19 labels and the timeless Barolo and Barbaresco, sfollowed by Veneto, with 17 companies. Then comes Sicily with 10 mentions, Campania with 8. The lion's share is the prerogative of North with 57 companies. The Center boasts 44 and the South 29.  The ranking drawn up every year by OperaWine for its authority is fundamental in the promotion of Italian wines to foreign consumers especially in the USA the most important market for the export of made in Italy which is worth 2,3 billion euros.

Particularly relevant is that in this year's edition there are 10 new entries compared to the 2022 selection: Colli di Lapio, San Salvatore, Conte Vistarino, Masottina, Giacomo Borgogno & Figli, Feudo, Montoni, Cantina Nals Margreid, Lamole di Lamole, Vecchie Terre di Montefili, Monte del Frà
