Vivino's Wine Style Awards: five Italian reds among the best in the world

The best wines in the world chosen not by critics but by the large community of wine enthusiasts from all latitudes. They are the Vivino Wine Style Awards, an annual celebration created to recognize the best wines in the world, chosen by millions of wine enthusiasts, 35 million Vivino users to be exact, who buy, taste and evaluate their favorite wines. In total, the awards involve 183 categories of wines, from 16 different countries, with 1.330 wineries represented.

Italy has conquered flattering positions again this year. Among the Reds, the Belpaese placed no less than five wines in the top twenty, placing three consecutively at the top of the ranking after two wines from the Napa Valley and before the prestigious French Chateau Latour. Three are the Italian wines entered instead in the ranking of the thirty best white wines in the world. The ranking of the best thirty bubbles was almost the prerogative of the most important French maisons and among these Jacques Selosse who brought home a large bag of nominations. Italy managed to place a prosecco and a Moscato.
