A little surprisingly, the newborn operator Wind Tre, born from the merger of Wind and 3 Italia, has announced a change of leadership. Maximum and wider 4G/LTE network, as well as being a pioneer in the digital world.

Maximo Ibarra, it should be recalled, had been chosen to lead the merger between the two operators and had previously held the position of CEO of Wind. Great satisfaction among the top management of the group for the appointment of Jeffrey Hedberg who brings to Wind Tre extensive global experience and success at the helm of mobile telecommunications companies in the United States, Africa and Asia. Indeed, his resume is truly impressive. Jeffrey Hedberg began his career at Swisscom where he also served as vice president and member of the executive board of Swisscom International.

He subsequently served as executive vice president and member of the executive board at Deutsche Telekom before becoming president of Deutsche Telekom USA. He was most recently CEO of Telkom South Africa and then of Mobilink in Pakistan.

Jeffrey Hedberg has also garnered many accolades such as in 2001 when Fortune magazine named him one of the top 25 global executives under 40. The new CEO of Wind Tre Jeffrey Hedberg, immediately after the announcement of his appointment, said he was proud of this new opportunity: “I am proud to have been appointed to lead Wind Tre.
