Wind: agreement for one billion euros to build an ultra-fast mobile telephony network

It will build an ultra-fast fourth generation LTE mobile telephony network. To do this, Wind has signed a one billion euro deal with the Chinese giant Huawei and the Italian Sirti.

"We have signed a very important agreement with Huawei and Sirti regarding the development and implementation services of our mobile telephony services - said the CEO of Wind, Massimo Ibarra - It is an agreement that perhaps has a very strong value the most important in recent years in Italy because it is one billion euros for the next five years”.

The investment, which will take place over five years, has among the objectives the enhancement of the performance of the Wind mobile network in the logic - continued Ibarra - of being able to have a network from a qualitative point of view 'state of the art' better than that of the our competitors in such a way as to be able to continue to grow as a market share also in 2013 and in the coming years”.
