In the end Matteo Berrettini gave up but he fought with honor in a match that consigns him, in any case, to history as the first Italian to enter the final on the most important and prestigious green field in the world. Novak Djokovic, a giant, wins the Wimbledon tournament for the third time in a row with a score of 6-7, 6-4, 6-4, 6-3. For anyone who was able to see the match, at Wimbledon or on TV, it was a beautiful match, fought with incredible blows from both sides.

Much applauded Matteo Berrettini received almost stadium cheering which prompted the referee, on more than one occasion, to call the public to a less noisy support.
