260 million investments in three years and zero redundancies by 2021. The agreement reached between Whirlpool Italia and the unions, establishes incentives for mobility on a voluntary basis or to accompany retirement and the use of the extraordinary redundancy fund that the Ministry of Labor will grant for 2019 and 2020.

The agreement between Fim, Fiom and Uilm on one side and Whirlpool Italia on the other for the management of the Group's industrial plan for the next three years was reached on the evening of October 25, in the presence of the Minister of Labour, Luigi Di Maio , And avoid 800 redundancies (623 in production and 169 in central offices) previously provided through funding from the government of the layoffs. The deadline of 31 December established by the Jobs Act is therefore extended.

"The agreement has in its objectives the implementation of a commercial strategy aimed at recovering market shares, through a series of investments and product and process innovations with the aim of stabilizing volumes - explains the national secretary of Fim Cisl , Alessandra Damiani – This will allow the completion, in continuity, of the Italy plan of the past three years for the Italian plants of the Group".

The plan confirms the commitment already envisaged for the Carinaro (Caserta) site to develop re-industrialization projects, and the specialization for the washing site in Naples, while and for Comunanza (Ascoli Piceno) of the washer-dryers and washer-dryers cashing, predicting the reshoring of some productions developed today in Poland, acknowledging the requests of the trade union organizations made during the meeting of 3 October. The current production missions for the other sites have been confirmed.

"Like Fim - continues Damiani - we believe the agreement reached is positive, which has the objective of achieving full employment, for this very reason it is now necessary, concentrate every effort on the Siena site which, in terms of product typology, is the one that suffers the most from market difficulties, making the objectives of increasing volumes truly achievable through new and effective commercial policies".
