Intesa Sanpaolo expands the corporate welfare measures with respect to the provisions of current national legislation by extending the provisions for the protection of parenthood to civil unions, de facto unions and children of the spouse

Corporate welfare, Intesa Sanpaolo extends the benefits to all types of families

Intesa Sanpaolo has signed an agreement with the trade union organizations on the subject of inclusive parenting which allows all the people in the group equal access to corporate welfare tools for childcare. The new measures of welfare they also introduce paid leave and extraordinary leave, with an extension compared to what is envisaged by current national legislation and by collective bargaining. A further step towards the inclusion of all types of families.

The agreement integrates the provisions of the Second Level Collective Agreement on the subject of work-life balance and supplementary social security, in line with the Framework Protocol on inclusion and equal opportunities already shared with the social partners in 2014.

Intesa Sanpaolo's new corporate welfare measures

In detail, families with children of the spouse, the civil partner or the de facto cohabitant will thus be able to benefit from all the provisions for the protection of parenthood already present in the second-level bargaining, such as permits for birth, insertion in the nursery, assistance in case of learning disabilities, Time Bank, childbirth bonus provided by the so-called "Youth Package", the pension bonus and other economic forecasts.  

Furthermore, they are also recognized in cases where the children are of the spouse, the civil partner or the partner allowed for the compulsory leave of the father for the birth of children and for parental leave pertaining to the father usable by the end of the sixth year with an economic treatment equal to 40% of the salary paid by the group. As of January 1, 2023 the welfare contribution of 120 euros for each fiscally dependent child up to 24 years of age it will also be guaranteed for the cases of entry into the family of the child in pre-adoptive foster care.

The Intesa Sanpaolo internal LGBTQ+ community was recently created and in 2021 a specific HR process was defined to support those who have embarked on a gender transition path in socialization within the working context. The collaboration with Parks – Liberi e Uguali, with which Intesa Sanpaolo has been associated since 2019, also continues.
