Il corporate welfare is increasingly widespread in Italy and, among the various sectors, one of the most dynamic in this area is that feed, which has always been decisive in the Italian economic system. According to Intesa Sanpaolo and Adapt, which published their fourth report on "Occupational and corporate welfare in Italy" on Wednesday, the issue of organizational flexibility and work-life balance it represents 70% of the measures negotiated at the corporate welfare level.

The survey, curated by Michele Tiraboschi, was carried out on about 60 company contracts stipulated between 2016 and 2020 in companies that applied one of the five most common national collective labor contracts in the "food-agro-industrial" sector, according to the Inps-Cnel survey of 2018.

The other most widespread corporate welfare measures

Based on the data contained in the study, measures for the are also widespread professional training of employees, found in 57% of the sample and also guaranteed through inter-professional funds.

The category follows, with significant percentages canteen and meal vouchers (40%) and the provisions on vouchers and on flexible benefits (27%).

Supplementary healthcare and complementary pensions: sector funds count

In terms of importance and diffusion, the weight of thesupplementary health care (18%) and complementary pension (15%). These data confirm that, even in the food sector, the transition from corporate funds to those in the sector, which in this case are Fasa and Alifond.

Furthermore, "company bargaining often shows that it intends to go beyond the services offered by the contractual funds themselves - reads the report - by expanding the protections towards employees of food companies".

The least widespread corporate welfare measures

Finally, as regards the less widespread measures in company bargaining, they are, in order, upbringing and education at school and university level (7%), insurance against non-professional risk (5%) and policies against the risk of non-self-sufficiency or serious pathologies and recreational activities (3%).

In the contracts analysed, however, they appear entirely absent welfare measures for the categories of transport and assistance and care of family members.
