Some regions will still have to deal with sudden rains and thunderstorms, especially in the North and in the central Tyrrhenian areas. temperature will drop slightly in the affected areas, but will continue to touch 35-36 degrees in cities such as Florence, Rome and Naples. Saturday June 21th, right on the day of summer solstice, the good weather will not yet be fully stable. The African anticyclone will strengthen and will guarantee a sunny day almost everywhere. temperature will rise further, bringing values typical of full summer. The hottest cities will Florence, Roma e Napoli, where the maximum temperatures will approach 35 degrees. It will also be hot in the North, but with a less oppressive climate than in the South. Only a few isolated thunderstorms could appear in the afternoon in the inland and mountainous areas.
Next week: heat wave coming
With the beginning of next week, the African high pressure will extend across the entire peninsula, bringing very hot and sunny days. The temperature will continue to rise and, according to forecasts, we could see the first real heat wave of the summer. The climate will be particularly muggy in the inland areas and in the big cities.
