The US financier Warren Buffett, known for his "strokes of genius", returns to the energy sector and takes over a company active in the electricity sector.
His financial arm Berkshire Hathaway has in fact detected the Honour, one of the largest electricity distribution companies in the USA.
Technically, the company will acquire its near-bankrupt parent Energy Future Holdings for $9 billion in cash, plus $18 billion in debt. This is the largest acquisition ever made by Buffett after that of Precision Castparts in 2016 for 32 billion.
