Israel-Iran War: Tehran Threatens West, Netanyahu Responds That “Tehran Will Burn.” Trump-Putin Talk

A while agoAnother night of fire in the Middle East, having a new wave of Iranian missiles launched against Israel and violent Israeli Air Force raid on Tehran. It is now really war (even if at a distance) between Israel and Iran. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that they struck the Iranian Defense Ministry and an underground missile base, with the stated aim of neutralizing the nuclear capabilities of the ayatollahs' regime. Two fuel depots were also hit.

Israeli drones targeted senior Iranian regime figures and the IDF claimed responsibilityElimination of nine scientists involved in the nuclear program. According to the armed forces, "the road to Tehran has been cleared", with the entire Iranian capital targeted by systematic bombing. The consequences of the Iranian raids are also serious, with the Israeli defense system "Iron Dome" increasingly under pressure: at least 10 dead and 200 wounded in Israel only in the last few hours, with attacks that have hit Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Haifa hard. Among the victims is a 10-year-old boy.

Even the Yemeni Houthis have claimed attacks against Israel in coordination with Tehran. The IDF responded by attempting to eliminate Muhammad Abdel Karim al Ghammari, one of the group's military leaders, in Sana'a.

Among the first countermeasures adopted by Tehran was a total Internet blackout, in an attempt to prevent the population from informing and organizing themselves. But a few hours after the block, Elon Musk announced the activation of the satellite system Starlink over Iran, allowing citizens to access the network (which is not easy anyway).

The decision came after the appeal of conservative analyst Mark Levin, who had invited Musk to support the revolt against the regime. The SpaceX boss responded with a post on X: “The beams are on” (the rays are active). A gesture with a strong political weight: on the one hand, a clear signal of support for a possible popular mobilization against the ayatollahs; on the other, an evident attempt to reconnect with President Trump, following the recent disagreements between the two.

Starlink has already been used for geopolitical purposes in Ukraine, and now it is playing a crucial role again, allowing Iranian citizens to bypass censorship and become an active participant in any internal change.

Netanyahu: “Unprecedented attacks. Iran will pay a very high price”

The premier Benyamin Netanyahu, in his congratulatory message to Donald Trump (the American president turned 79 yesterday) he was clear that Israel will not stop: “Israeli pilots from the skies above the capital of Iran will inflict blows on the regime that the ayatollahs cannot even imagine. If we had not struck, Iran would have supplied nuclear weapons to its terrorist allies. This is nuclear terrorism”

Netanyahu confirmed that Iran is already paying “a very heavy price”, specifying that high officials of the regime are already "packing their bags". The Minister of Defense Israel Katz he called the Iranian leader "a dictator who is holding his own people hostage", accusing him of turning Tehran into a target to safeguard his nuclear projects and then warned: "If Khamenei continues to launch missiles against our population, Tehran will go up in flames".

IDF spokesman, Effi Defrin, said that air operations will continue indefinitely: “We will not stop until the Iranian nuclear program is completely dismantled.”

Khamenei in the crosshairs and threats to the West

Iran's supreme leader himself has become a possible targetA senior Israeli official told the Wall Street Journal that "no objective is excluded, not even Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei“, confirming the intention of strike directly at the top of power Iranian if necessary to stop nuclear development.

A line that provoked an immediate reaction from Tehran: the Iranian government has openly threatened the United States, United Kingdom and France, stating that any involvement of theirs in the defense of Israel “will lead to directly hit their military bases in the Middle East".

Trump and Putin: “Iran-Israel War Must End”

In the midst of the escalation between Israel and Iran, a new phone conversation between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump in which, according to the Kremlin, “they have not ruled out a return to negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program.”

The White House has interview confirmed, explaining that Putin also called Trump to wish him a happy birthday. “President Putin called me this morning to kindly wish me a happy birthday, but above all to talk about Iran, a country he knows very well. We talked about it at length,” the American president explained in a note, “He believes, as I do, that this war between Israel and Iran should end. At which point I explained to him that his war should end, too.”

Il reference is to the war in Ukraine. According to the Kremlin's foreign policy adviser, Yuri Ushakov, "Russia has expressed its readiness to continue negotiations with the Ukrainians, as agreed, after June 22.” Trump would “take note of this information” and reiterate “his interest in the fastest conclusion of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict,” Ushakov added.

Washington distances itself: "No direct intervention"

- The US still distances itself from the conflict in the Middle East. While the United States continues to support Israel in defending itself from air, naval and ground attacks, as reported by the WSJin fact, theTrump administration has made it known, according to sources Axios of not wanting to enter directly into the conflict despite Israel's request. Sources cited by CNN They point out that the Israeli attacks are expected to last “weeks, not days,” and that Washington is aware of and implicitly supportive of the strategy, while hoping for a return to negotiations.

President Trump did, however, state in a post on Truth Social that “the U.S. military would respond with unprecedented force” to any attack directed against the United States, but also reiterated that an agreement between Iran and Israel “is still possible.”

Meanwhile, the Britain has begun deploying military jets to the Middle East and also the France monitors the situationJordan has closed its airspace after several missiles and drones passed by, while the next round of nuclear talks in Oman has officially fallen through.
