Wall Street: index of fear +30%

Although it remains below 20 points, corresponding to the historical average, it reached 15,36 points, approaching a level not seen since last May 17 when 15,59 was reached. It is the sign of the tension that exists on the financial markets

Tensions between the United States and North Korea are worrying investors on Wall Street. This is demonstrated by the Vix, the volatility index also known as "fear". It's up 30% to its highs of nearly three months ago.

Although it remains below 20 points, corresponding to the historical average, it reached 15,36 points at one point, approaching a level not seen since last May 17 when 15,59 was reached. On that day the daily jump was 46%. Only on 21 July last it had reached 9,36 points.
