Tensions between the United States and North Korea are worrying investors on Wall Street. This is demonstrated by the Vix, the volatility index also known as "fear". It's up 30% to its highs of nearly three months ago.
Although it remains below 20 points, corresponding to the historical average, it reached 15,36 points at one point, approaching a level not seen since last May 17 when 15,59 was reached. On that day the daily jump was 46%. Only on 21 July last it had reached 9,36 points.
