Digitization voucher: the new aid to SMEs is triggered

Tuesday 30 January opens the door to request digitization vouchers. This is a subsidy for SMEs which provides for a maximum contribution of 10 thousand euros each to cover up to 50% of the costs for digitalisation of company processes and technological modernization. The Fund of the Ministry for Development has a total endowment of 100 million.

WHAT FINANCES

The voucher can be used to purchase software, hardware and / or specialized services that allow:

  • improve business efficiency;
  • modernize work organization through the use of technological tools and forms of work flexibility, including teleworking;
  • develop e-commerce solutions;
  • use broadband and ultra-broadband connectivity or internet connection via satellite technology;
  • carry out qualified personnel training in the ICT field.

HOW TO SUBMIT THE APPLICATION

Applications (with digital signature) can be presented by companies starting from 10.00 on 30 January 2018 and up to 17.00 on 9 February 2018, exclusively through the IT procedure on the website of the Ministry of Economic Development. To access, you need the National Service Card (complete with a PIN), as well as an active certified email address (PEC) registered in the Business Register.

To request technical support relating to access to the IT procedure and the compilation of applications, you can write to voucherdigitalizzazione.istanzedgiai@mise.gov.it or call 06-64892998.

HOW IT WORKS

Within 30 days of the closure of the counter, the Ministry of Economic Development will adopt a cumulative provision for booking the Voucher, on a regional basis, containing an indication of the companies and the amount of the discount booked.

If the total amount of the digitization vouchers granted is equal to or greater than the planned expenditure ceiling (100 million euros), the ministry will divide the resources in proportion to the needs of each beneficiary company. The order in which the applications were submitted does not matter.

To be entitled to the voucher, the disbursement request must be presented within 30 days of when the expenses are made. The application must always be sent via the IT procedure, enclosing, among other things, the expense certificates.

After having carried out the checks, the ministry will decide the amount of the vouchers to be disbursed in relation to the eligible expenditure certificates.
