The German automaker ended 2012 with 9,07 million vehicles registered, up 11% year-on-year – Volkswagen placed third in the ranking of cars sold, after Toyota and General Motors.
2012 was a record year for Volkswagen: the German automaker surpassed for the first time in its history 9 million cars sold with 9,07 million cars registered, an increase of 11% compared to 2011. In this way VW reached third place in the sales rankings of the sector, behind Toyota, first at 9,7 million, and General Motors, 9,2 million.
The sales trend in China and the United States was very good for the German company. The sales levels of the Porsche and Audi branches are excellent.
