Volkswagen, +10% deliveries in July while the market collapses in Europe

New positive goals for the number one car manufacturer in Europe. Germany's Volkswagen announced a 10,3 percent increase in July vehicle deliveries to 734.600 cars. If you look at the first seven months of the year, deliveries increased by 9,1% to 5,19 million units.

“Overall, we have started the second half of the year well and are continuing our growth path in almost all regions, especially Asia, North America and Russia,” said Christian Klingler, member of the Volkswagen executive board responsible for sales. “However thehe situation in Western Europe remains rather tense, although our brands have outperformed the market despite the unfavorable conditions”.

The news has repercussions on Piazza Affari where the Fiat share falls by 2,73%. But the difficulties in the automotive market, even if they do not affect the "enemy" Volkswagen, are common to all of Europe, shared above all by Peugeot and Opel. On the other hand, the same CEO of Fiat Sergio Marchionne showed little confidence and a few weeks ago declared that he expects a 20% drop in the car market in the European Union in July.
